About This Guide

An independent, hand-curated guide to Barcelona — built by people who love the city.

Why we built this

Barcelona is one of the most visited cities in the world, yet most travel content is either outdated, generic, or written by people who spent three days there on a press trip. We wanted something different — a guide built on real knowledge of the city, updated regularly, and focused on helping travellers have a genuinely great time rather than just ticking off the top-ten lists.

This site covers the neighbourhoods, restaurants, hotels, attractions and events we actually care about. Every recommendation is chosen because it deserves to be there, not because someone paid for placement.

What you'll find here

  • Neighbourhoods — character, vibe, and what to do in each barrio
  • Attractions — the must-sees and the overlooked gems, with honest context
  • Restaurants — from Michelin stars to the best bocadillo in the Boqueria
  • Hotels — curated picks across all budgets and styles
  • Itineraries — day-by-day plans built around how people actually travel
  • Events — festivals, markets and seasonal highlights throughout the year
  • Day trips — easy escapes from the city for when you need a break

Our editorial approach

We are not a booking platform and we do not accept payment for listings. Affiliate links may appear in some content — these help keep the site free and never influence editorial decisions. If something made it onto this site, it's because we think it's worth your time.

Content is reviewed and updated on a rolling basis. Barcelona changes — restaurants close, new ones open, opening hours shift with the seasons — and we try to stay on top of it. If you spot something out of date, please let us know.
